On Patient Waiting
Patient waiting is often the highest way of doing God’s will. - Jeremy Collier
Do we wait for God’s will patiently? Are we restless and reactionary? Maybe each of us is sometimes. Patient waiting takes discipline and trust. Is it easy? No.
When we think of God’s will, perhaps we think of doing something, anything to answer the question, to improve the situation, to feel like we are helping. But the question that needs to be begged is: Is it God’s will?
Perhaps, what we need to ask ourself is this: What is the worst that will happen if I wait to act? This may be our answer, and indeed, may give God the time he needs to act in our lives.
